Books are available in the church office.

The dates for the next Bible 101 class are TBD.

We are a Bible church, but not all of us in this church have the same knowledge, understanding, or interpretation of the Bible.

Using the book, "Making Sense of the Bible," by Adam Hamilton, we will engage on the history of Scripture, the context of the Old and New Testaments, the authority of Scripture in our lives and various ways to interpret. Then, we will begin to discuss topics such as violence, suffering, science, sexuality, tattoos, and end times with our various understandings of scripture. In this class we seek to hear and understand one another and not defend or explain our own understandings.

As followers of our Lord Jesus, each of us is called into a life of Christian maturity. Like human growth from infancy to adulthood, growing into the character of Christ progresses over time as we participate in activities designed to nurture and lead us into a deeper intimacy with God.

This adult learning opportunity anticipates reading assignments and active discussion (facilitated by experienced leader and retired pastor Reverend Carla Williams) based on the book Sacred Rhythms: Arranging Our Lives for Spiritual Transformation.

Join Pastor Erin in a six-week study in which we will engage each other in conversation, listen to one another, as we seek to understand why we think what we think, and center ourselves in who Jesus is.

Based on the book, "Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White," this will be a challenging class but one that is worth the time and investment, according to Pastor Erin. People from all perspectives are encouraged to attend, as long as they are willing to come with an open mind and heart to learn.

There are two options to attend. People are asked to commit to five of the six classes and stay within the particular format they start with. The options are:

In-person on Thursdays at 1:00-2:00 PM on August 22nd-September 26th

or Zoom Sundays at 7:00-8:00 PM on August 25th-September 29th. Please see the August Vision for the Zoom information.

Please note: This class will not be live-streamed or recorded.

Books are available in the church office.
